I've tried uploading some photos but the files are too big... will have a better look tonight.

For now:
The shock has been reinstalled.
The calipers have been rebuilt with new seals.
Brembo RCS19 has been installed although I need to make a bracket for the reservoir and then bleed the system.

After these I need to get new brakes pads and tyres then it's ready for the track !!

I use https://imgur.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for hosting pictures. There's an app for the phone so it's all very simple.

I'm really happy with how the bike is starting to shape up.. so far I've spent £380 on suspension and brakes but still need pads and tyres.



Minimal fluid loss thanks to bungey cords from the garage door



Beautiful piece of kit - although difficult to see why it costs so much until you see the Brembo badge. I would not pay more than £200 for one having not used it yet though

Thanks.. it's a massive sense of achievement for me when I complete what I set out to do.. Even a little thing like removing and reinstalling my shock was a great feeling for me.

I felt so out of my depth doing the calipers and yeah I messed up a couple of times but I only cost myself half a tub of brake fluid

I have a set of SBS DC pads on their way to my house as I type this as well as some 6mm hose.

Only thing left to do for the brakes is find a decent reservoir... not too small, not too big and preferably with a 45* outlet

ANOTHER UPDATE: Reservoir is ordered but i forgot about the clips - £5 per clip is extortionate so I think I'm going to fab something up or get a small jubilee clip. Anyone done something for this or just stomached the £10 bill for 2 clips?

There is a guy on Bookfarse selling these for 40 quid. He's getting them in black, green and gold.

That looks ridiculously over-engineered... smart though!

I'm all sorted now besides clips though but thanks

Fingers crossed I can get it sorted this weekend and have a little play/shakedown

There what I have on my bike and that's a bargain if genuine Rizoma as I paid over 100.

I don't think they are at that price. I've had fake Rizoma stuff before and it looks really good, even down to the detailing on the boxes.

You'll know in a few months when the colour starts to fade.

Dont use jubilee clips they are only good for a garden hose Buy proper clips and do it right

Just got to wait for it to all arrive now.. I can't wait to see how the new brakes feel!

I bet you are loving it all. When it's all put together you will have something you can be very pleased with...question is will you want to track it when you have finished with it haha!! When do you think you will finish the project? Will you do all the bits you have listed or is this going to be on going for a couple years?

I am very late to this thread!! I subbed to it but people kept posting on it and I wanted the tome to be able to read through it all which I haven't had previously!

In an ideal world I'd do everything in one hit, however, I am on a limited budget while saving for a house etc... it's going to take a while.

I'm hoping to do a lot of what's on the list but seeing as the mileage of the bike is high, I doubt I will. I can see the engine and gearbox getting a refresh in a year or 2 - I'll probably treat it to an ECU flash at the same time. Other than that I'll work my way through the cheaper stuff that is performance related until there is only expensive stuff left haha.

The bike is so capable, I know what I do isn't going to be night and day difference but I'm chuffed that most of what's done to the bike (however small) is done by me
