Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Well yesterday, but took Jess for a run up the Putty Rd, a very popular biking road. Unfortunately since I last rode it (8yrs) the surface has got a lot more bumpy. Also on weekends it is heavily policed so it was a casual ride. Got up to the Grey Gums Cafe http://greyguminternationalcafe.com/, a biker spot. Driveway is lined with flag poles flying flags from bike clubs that have visited. had lunch there, which was OK but nothing to rave about. Had a Thai Burger which in essence was a chicken burger with sweet chilli sauce . Luckily the view made up for it
Nice touch at the cafe though is bike only parking area and visor cleaning stations with soft paper towels and cleaning sprays. Took advantage of that as we had got hammered by bugs.
Took a run back home and decided to pop up to the local for a quick cider. Since we had no kids we voted to get takeout so had a blast back down the hill to grab burgers and sweet potato chips. God bless top boxes . Realised it was the first time I'd ridden the Multi in the dark and the lights are bloody fantastic!!
All in all a great lazy day on the bike and Jess is feeling quite at home on the back now.

Took it out for a good long blast with the triumph rat boys. Brought it all back this time, plus a lot of extra bugs.
@Frankie, pass my thanks on please. Enjoyed the roads today, shame we got split up but it all worked out in the end.

Switched the bikes over Gave the SX a final clean and checked it over.
Got all of the parts and paperwork for the SX together.
Did some work on the Street. I need to wash it if I can sort out the throttle. Otherwise it's the car for work tomorrow.

I guess its at the tipping point where it still has a decent resaleable value.

Yep. The dealer was pretty blunt about that which is why I've agreed not to use it now until I drop it off. The 2017 model has pushed the resale value down as well as quite a few owners have upgraded to the new bike.

Street all washed and waxed, ready for a couple of days doing the commuting run.
I had to adjust the throttle cable to get the set up right. It should be nice and crisp tomorrow.

Yep some new roads for me as well, and a new break stop, which I will be revisiting, very nice place for a future trip.
I do like the bike stops, but they are always so bloody monged with people, you que for ages, they are all the same, I was thinking about the super sausage yesterday morning. Hence why I like the tea rooms and other stops like Lucy's.
Less time waiting.

Commute in on the triple. It's still bloody freezing despite it being May and yesterday showing some promise. I knew I should have kept my liners in my textiles for a bit longer.

I need to sort out the pick up date for the Versys. I had agreed this afternoon but I can't make it.
I also need to sort out the insurance for the bikes. I doubt I'll get any money back but it should be much cheaper next year.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Ride into work. The route was changed as part of the M6 and the A46 were closed. I filter through some traffic and come up to a set of traffic lights on red. As I make my way to the front, they change, so I ride past the two cars at the front.
I have no idea what the prick to my left was doing, but he almost took me out. As the lights changed he lurched forward, steering quickly to the right and into my path, almost taking me out. He had no where to go as there was a car to his right. I thought I was going to be hit.
Not a good way to spend the last day on the SX.

Dropped the SX off and collected the Versys.
It's a bit nervy filtering when you're riding with panniers for the first time. No accidents so far.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Installed a manual cam chain adjuster on the 675 yesterday. Went to re adjust it today and looked down to see a frayed clutch cable ... oh crap could have been worse it could have gone last night when i was testing the bike. So had to chase round to get one as I'm dropping the bike off tomorrow for its trip to Almeria it looked bleak but managed to get one from Blackburn. Bit of a whirl wind day but its all together and working fingers crossed.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.
