I'm not one for a lie in... but it is 10.45 and I just woke up. I could get used to this!

I went to the football last night. I'm old, I went straight there and back, no beers. I like a Friday night game as it's an excuse to have a few pints afterwards, but I really couldn't be arsed.

After being crippled in bed by a sneeze for what felt like forever I would not recommend bruised kidneys
Then I had a chat with the insurance broker, they were confused as hell when I told them where the bike is as they didn't know... The tracker is still working.
Other than that I fitted my new Cardo Edge to my new Scorpion carbon helmet and had a closer look at another GS, I have unfinished business with those bikes.

Went out cycling....20-odd miles.
I'm a little bit more knackered than I usually am...OK, a LOT more knackered. I think that's the quickest I've done that route, so probably explains it.

A haircut at lunchtime and a sports massage this evening. That's about as close to a pamper day as it gets for me.

My son is fighting today so I'm providing a taxi service. I'm hoping to get to see him fight, but there's 30 fights starting from 3.30pm and he's not sure when he's supposed to be on.

Re: What are you doing today ??
There's an airshow going on in Huntington Beach this weekend, so I've been sitting out front watching a procession of aircraft strut their stuff in the skies above.
There's what appears to be an F-22 Raptor (or something similar) up there right now.
It's very impressive.
AND VERY LOUD!!!! ....."stealthy" my a$$!!

Re: What are you doing today ??
My lad lost his fight.
It was all a bit weird. The events are usually hosted by one gym and there's 10 to 12 fights of 3 X 2 minute rounds.
Today was mostly kick boxing, with a few boxers thrown in-between. The rounds were 90 seconds each. There were a total of 30 fights.
Alex did really well, constantly taking the fight to the other guy, who either stood off or held on.
Unanimous decision to the other boxer.
After the fight the promoter came up to Alex to congratulate him on his win. He watched the first two rounds and assumed that Alex was the winner
Oh well. Such is life.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Yesterday was a busy day..
Up to Whaddon in the morning for some MX photography, and winding Frankie up
Afternoon was taking the lad to a VR place for a friend for a birthday treat. My first time in virtual reality and it's pretty damn good. It surprised me how immersive the experience is and how you experience physical sensations that are just not possible..
For example the sensation of vertigo when walking over a narrow bridge, when your brain knows you are just walking round a warehouse. It a physical sensation of walking up hill because that's what your eyes see..

Off to see the Gang of Four. They're not my taste but I won't turn down a free gig ticket.

Not my cup of tea either, but I always thought they had one of the best ever names for a band.

Another gig last night, this time it was Dream Wife. It was almost punk like in the crowd, lots of pogo and moshing. The set was amazing.
