Even the race cans are massive. I wonder if it's anything to do with back pressure? Don't certain bikes respond better with decent back pressure? I know that Kwaks generally do better with longer cans.

It's more to do with the length of the exhaust on all engines than the actual back pressure. One of the reasons tuners tend not to recommend shorty cans.

The bike should be capable of winning, on paper it is anyway, he certainly is capable of winning and Hawk seem a good team capable of winning.
For me victory depends on how reliable they can get a brand new bike to perform with little practice or time to develop.
