Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....
... I've passed my test and bought myself a beautiful Thunderbird 900. Get the train to Lincoln to pick it up and ride off. Couple of miles down the road I'm approaching a junction and trying to work out what gear I'm in as I'm used to a CG125 and 6 speed boxes are alien to me. I'm spending so much ...

... only had 1/2" in Stafford, I made my way over from Wolverhampton. We did the obligatory in and out of cones on the car park and because of my road awareness, they sent me out from a 125 on to a 500 on to the public highway All went well but I was that cold when I got back to base, that I couldnt ...

... I was earning pocket money repairing bicycles & then lawnmowers & onwards…. Motorcycles was really just a logical progression. On the road I don’t ride too quickly, observing most limits. However rarely do I let other road users delay my progress. On the track I just trundle round, ...

I'm Mike, 42 and the site's resident Yank. I live in the Appalachian mountains of the eastern US, which means lots of great twisty roads nearby. Having said that, I'm a fairly calm rider due to my reluctance to be a hypocrite given that my employ is law enforcement. I divide about half ...

... weekends on the bike so I decided I would chop the Zx6r in for a Zx10r and turn it into a track bike (so now I have 2 for the track, none for the road). I will no doubt buy another bike for the road soon, just deciding what I want it for. I found trackdays make you realise the capability of a ...

... bike today. The traffic was a nightmare. One of the main by passes in Coventry was shut as an HGV decided to shed its load over both sides of the road. On top of that some muppet on the M6 had clipped the central reservation, span his car about and ended up in the outside lane whilst spraying ...

Yes - another one!
... I've been on and around bikes since the days of power cuts, strikes at British Leyland and the ubiquitous Fizzy. I'm currently the owner of a road going Triumph Tiger and a track only 675 Daytona, so it goes without saying that I enjoy a bit of track time. ;) Anyway, hope to meet some of you ...

Did I hear somewhere that if you have a dash cam in your car you can use footage and send on to the police???
Unfortunately that has to cover all road traffic violations , and as in all walks of life there are surprisingly some numb nuts who are on 2 wheels

Today I will mostly be putting a Q.C. to shame with his poor skills and lack of understanding of the Road Traffic Act. The work he's done for the Claimant is shockingly poor. It's the basic stuff, like not being able to add up or pleading that my client was the insurer when ...

I had kangaroo over Christmas. Unimpressed tbh. Not worth it over beef IMO. We have an ostrich farm up the road so that will get a visit during the year. I'd like to try it. That's a shame. My take on the Kangaroo steak was that it seemed very tasty. I felt it's consistency ...
