... one straight away, the first year of production always has problems to iron out. But I did get a quote for the 1250gs adventure, huge as it looks it's not much heavier. It should have been obvious but they have a higher guaranteed future value than the normal GS, so on the same finance deal ...

Got a message from the repair company and they are recommending to my insurance that the bike is beyond economical repair. So it looks like that's it for this one. As you were clearly jelling with it Stonsie, would it be worth asking the repair company what damage their engineer had identified.? ...

... I'm a higher caliber than they were expecting to come across. We have some negotiating to do and a 2nd interview on site will happen but so far it looks like that I'll be taking a short-ish term pay decrease for somewhere willing to invest in me.

Looks like it was just a poor signal as all was well today, 300 miles up to the lake district and back with the message showing up once at Skipton and then staying off... 1175 miles already.

... so they will be here in a day or 2. My neighbour, not the biker who used to have a GS 1200, gave his verdict. "It's not a pretty bike, but it looks rugged and purposeful, I like it" 8)

Looks good mate!

Your bike, you have to be happy with it, and sounds like this suits you well.

There's a few guys out here at work with GS1200's and they rate them highly (and they aren't nobs either (lol) ) Though that thing looks a tad flasher than their models
