Re: Flat Battery ... my fault or theirs ?

... as a side note, if it was an AGM battery, I have recently been through 2 of these (one under warranty) within 3 months each. It turns out older bikes (even mine with its uprated reg/rec) don't work well with AGM batteries. Every bit of information I could find states that AGM batteries can be ...

Re: Multi bike

Normally they rank one bike the highest risk and that becomes the lead machine then the second bike is added at a reduced premium than if the two bikes were insured separately.

Not that many companys offer multi bike polices now but still worth shopping around and asking for discounts.

Re: Test rides

I think most dealers have to buy their demo bikes themselves so insurance comes under their own dealership policy and not the manufacturers.

Re: Test rides

Did they give any reason? Seems a bit high handed to start taking deposits. I can only think they've had bikes stolen or bits swapped over, but then someone's only going to turn up with a bent card or a rubber cheque book and pull the same stunt. Good way of driving away business imho.

Just been to Triumph and KTM to look at a couple of bikes. However it I want to test ride a bike at either of them they want a returnable deposit of £600 and £500 respectively. I know i would get this back, but why do they have to do it in the first ...

Still need to keep it charged up though gents as I've had them on four bikes now. They're brilliant for cranking twins with the extra initial kick in.

Re: Snetterton Open Pitlane Trackday - 25th June

... in the past I'd definitely recommend it, according to MSV they cap the attendance at OPL days to twice the circuit capacity, so that's around 80 bikes compared to 120 for a normal trackday, riders will get just as tired, will still need to refuel both the bike and themselves and will still crash, ...

Re: Snetterton Open Pitlane Trackday - 25th June

There is a downside to OPL's, if you are a crash hazzard like me. I found that they do not red flag the track to collect crashed bikes until there are a few to collect. In my case this has resulted in me waiting at the side of the track for over an hour waiting with a marshal before they ...
