Well after being on a diet since new year and doing as much exercise as I can I have now lost 14lbs. The blood pressure has come down a bit as well so things are going in the right direction .

No it's fine to use. Apparently the suzuki manual says to use kerosene (what the Americans call paraffin) to clean the chain. As long as you lube it up after it will be fine. If you google it there are 100s of people that use paraffin.

The instructions say for best results apply to a warm chain. Easy enough 99% of the time, you just apply after a ride but what do you do when you've cleaned the chain and it has no lube left on it? Would you ride it for 10 mins to warm it up even though there's no lube on it of just apply it cold?

... up in smoke (certain R6's very prone to this) as the tank is ground away in a shower of sparks which ignite the fuel that comes spraying out after long slide. As StM points out the OEM triumph clip ones are terrible in a crash and at a minimum you need to remove that screw and ease the clamps ...
