Yeah, that's my understanding Kwacky, yet i suppose the 2011 vs. 2012 issue is still a good point?Kwacky wrote:I don't think there are any material differences between the 2011 and the 2012 models

Yes, yet wouldn't the VIN show it as a 2011 year model non the less as that's the year of manufacture?Perkles wrote:unless its a pre registered bike

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
Yup, its a 2011 then, glad i checked with you guys on this before firing off the email.
Is it as a much of an issue now its a 2011 instead of 2012 model? i think the principal is still the same in my view.

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
Gents, the VIN is xxxxxxxGJJA005263, (the x's are more numbers) and checking the site this is a 2010 model, yet cant find a specific Kwacker site to check them on. am i right on this being a 2010 and not a 2011? either way it was advertised as a 2012, yet want to get my facts right before sending of...

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
Dear (name) Thank you for the call yesterday to discuss the ongoing issues I have had with the ZX10R I purchased from you on (date). As you are aware, since buying the bike I have had very little opportunity to use it due to various faults with it, which, unbeknown to myself, were present at the ti...

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
An update. So i've spoken with Nick at Jordan's, it cost them £560 to get the forks done at P&H!!!! I was told to take it there as it would only be around £200 by his partner Nicky instead of going to my local chap for £450, all to save me sending back up to them. if i'd know a) the parts were g...

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
Yeah it's a pain. I like the bike and would've kept it. Yet now it's going to be a balance of keeping level headed whilst trying to get either a full refund or a good price on another one from Jordan's. Like I say they've been really professional about it all. They could've said get lost we don't kn...

The update. Had the forks done at P&H yesterday, took a while, yet have to say great service manager, had a look around the showroom (another update for that story 8) ), read some bike magazines, fell asleep on the couch for an hour then was told: - the forks have been out at some point (in an i...

You don't have to do a remap if fitting a link pipe, I presume it'll be fine.
Thanks for the links and suggestions I'll check em out.

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
I did think the Sale of goods act allowed you 6 months to return faulty goods but looks like this legalisation has been replaced by the consumer rights act in 2015. Here's a link it may be of some help but as Kwacky says if you don't ask you don't get, so may be worth speaking with Jordans first wh...

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
So all this test riding brings me onto another thought about my ZX-10R, the suspension bushes are in at P&H for the work to be done a week on Saturday, meaning I've not been able to really ride it until this is done. however, although its a cracking bike, handles like a 600, (one of the best han...

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
I test rode the XSR-900 and the MT-10 on Saturday... The XSR-900 is a lovely looking development of the MT-09 i used to have, simple to ride, looks good and better set up on the suspension. it rides and feels better than the MT-09, great same pokey engine and fun. the only downside i found was the t...

Re: It's time for a bike change - Cornish is on the hunt aga
I agree about the looks, but going on the tweets I see everyone who takes one out for a test ride seems to end up buying the MT10. Of the bikes mentioned so far the Speed Triple or the 1200 monster would be the two on a shortlist. I prefer triples to twins though. YEah, the MT-09 is certainly ticki...
