Oh yes, my Weim is my constant companion, and asleep beside me on the couch as I type. I've had him slightly over three years, and have fallen in love with the breed. Great dog!

Might be the odd one, but I love both my cat and dog. They have completely different personalities (have a hard time envisioning taking my cat for a run, and can't sleep with my 100lb Weimaraner on my chest), but it also depends on the individual animal.
