Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....
Just got my test, new CBR6F. Low speed pulled on break too sharply at factory gates, loads of DERV and bits of loose gravel. Dropped brand new bike......idiot. Couple of days later park bike up at work, a set of stabilisers appeared next to the bike.

916 still very pretty and not looking that dated, apart from the tail unit, that has not aged well.

Very easy to live with, but mine splitting its crank, stops me from recommending one to anyone (or any Triumph). Still bloody ugly though...Kwacky wrote:They're ugly looking bikes but pretty decent all rounders. I used to do track days on mine. The beloved Yellow Whale.

Re: New set of down pipes needed
I think the £700 was for all or at least most of a complete system, just me getting the wrong end of the stick.
About 4-500 seems the prices I'm getting now for the headers only. I would still like it to be less, but hey-ho.

Just a flick of the wrist really, I hope he didn't stump up to much to make that thing, wonder if his mate gave him a hand.

New set of down pipes needed
Not urgent (YET!) as MOT is in June but there is a crack in one of the down pipes on my exhaust system. 1. Is there a means of getting it fixed and if not 2. Anyway of getting a cheaper aftermarket system, as a Triumph one is looking like being about £700+ No problem finding end cans just difficulty...

Yeah, I didn't know the 15 inch guns had that much elivation, but even so the main flack batteries alone, at 10.5 cm, would easily rip a Lancaster in two.

Watched the Tirpitz thing on 4OD. I've always been impressed by their hitting a (relatively) small target from such a great height.

Shortly after I passed my test I dropped my CBR at low speed, about 300 squids damage and that was about 12 years ago, even more now. Don't do it.

Last time I watched the national side was 2002. Ever since I've gone out on the bike instead.
I likewise put club before country, but even then I am strictly an armchair Toffeeman.
