I've only heard the term "slats" in the RAF. Slats are an aerodynamic edge on the leading edge of an aircraft wing. Usually going hand in hand with flaps on the trailing edge, so you have flaps and slats. If you don't have any flaps in your pants, you must have slats. A kick in the slats....

looking back over the last 12 months, violent and sexual crimes are high and appear often along with anti social behaviour. But people fighting and causing a nuisance I would have expected anyway. I'm surprised that there isn't more theft listed though but 150+ crimes a month average.

only 154 in November reported.............. mainly antisocial behaviour, second place is violent and sexual crimes but some drugs, possession of weapons criminal damage and arson thrown in. only one vehicle crime and one burglary though.

I'd have thought about £800 without any no claims if you aren't in a city and 1000+ if in a city for the car and similar for a bike (although I always found bike insurance to be much cheaper than car insurance for myself).
