Re: Would anyone...

I forgot to mention, I drilled the fairings on my Daytona to fit the R&G ones. I did have a template which made it easier, but it really does come down to that old phrase "if I can do it, anyone can"! Yes, it's nervy when you first go through with the drill and see tiny bits of plasti...

Re: Wheelie School

I found a similar thing when one of the instructors on a training session I did had the same bike. However it is more expensive and to me, it seems a little more... Not sure how to put it really. It seems more "look at me and what I can do, give me enough money and you might be able to do it to...

Re: Wheelie School

Then there's this one which is more expensive but closer to many slappers. Although I'm sure someone on here has had a bad experience of his instructional technique, I can't remember who or why though. Anyone enlighten me? Whoops, forgot to paste the link... https://www.fuki.co/wheelie-school-with-...

Re: Wheelie School

I'm potentially interested, location and dates dependant of course. Another thing to bear in mind is what type of wheelie you want to learn, using the clutch or doing it off the power. Looking at the I want to wheelie link, they do it off the power. These guys use the clutch method... http://www.lea...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Fitted some Motografix "3D" decals to it. Downside is that in my haste, I didn't see that some of them went where the factory Z1000 logo sits on the tail unit. "It's okay" I thought, "these are thick stickers, they'll just cover it up"... No. No they won't! |( You can o...

Re: The new improved fitness thread

It all started so well... The magazine headline said "LEAN IN 28 DAYS! Get ripped without cardio" If you've followed any of my gym posts you'll know that cardio is a four-letter word to me, until it comes to the bi-annual fitness test! (sweat) So for the last 2 weeks I've been trying out t...

Re: Would anyone...

I used to (and probably still do, tbh) think that it was R&G or nothing. I had them all over my Daytona 600, and when I lost the front end at Mallory a few years back it saved the bike, perhaps, but not the fairing. Or the right footpeg. Or the exhaust. (doh) If your bike is going down, the fram...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Covering the building at work until the pilots have had enough and stop flying. Then I can go home. But I won't, I'll go to the gym first because I didn't go this morning. But my back's hurting, so I might not even do that! Nah, it's the gym, of course I'll go! Until then, I'm going through the unre...

Re: Wheelie Shots

Once again I find myself looking at a fellow Slappers pics and viewing them with seething jealousy that I'm nowhere near that level!

Not that I should be referring to these as "pics". Shots is a much better referral.

Tail tidy/Indicator help needed

Ahoy fellow slappers. Today I once again felt like a real motorcyclist/man by getting out the spanners and tinkering with the bike. Main order of the day was fitting the SP Engineering Tail Tidy I got for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. It even came with free indicators which don't look half bad,...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Fitted a set of swingarm sliders to it. They were the R&G ones that fit to the the spindle, like so... http://www.moorespeedracing.co.uk/user/products/large/SS0030BK.jpg This means I can't take the wheel off with them on, but I've never taken a wheel off whilst I've been biking anyway and beside...

Re: Test rides

The last two test rides I did (Honda and Kawasaki) didn't ask for a deposit, just the insurance waiver which I think was 500 quid if you dropped it.

I did only get half an hour on the Kwak though. The Honda dealer pretty much told me to be as long as I liked!

Re: Factory sticker removal

Well what do you know? Just went out to butter the bike up and thought "I'll just see if they come off with a fingernail that should've been cut a couple of days ago. Turns out to be pretty easy really. There's the slightest bit of residue from where the edges of the stickers were, but nothing ...
