Re: Out of date food

I wonder if fizzy drinks etc would cause this process to happen quicker? (puke)

Re: Look at me: I can fly!

Cheers! I just got lucky that the photographer caught it. He was telling me about an R6 he'd got but it turned out to be me! I had to buy the CD as he got the full crash sequence. I'll post more up when I get a chance. It actually wasn't as bad as it looks but that's the best hero shot lol. I'm ok, ...

I should be able to make this. Feels like ages since I've been round Wales now!

Re: Hmm. Not sure about this.

I'd actually quite like a head up display if it was projected onto my visor properly. I'd have gear indicator displayed in the corner and maybe a warning for speed cameras.

Re: Hmm. Not sure about this.

From wikipedia
A head-up display or heads-up display[1]—also known as a HUD—is any transparent display that presents data without requiring users to look away from their usual viewpoints.
Not exactly transparent is it that big black box?

Re: D6's Speed triple issues

Is there still a good bit of meat on the pads? If yes and they're squealing I'd expect there is no copper grease on the back of the pads and the squeak/squeal is just friction.

I'd go for the carbon wrap too. If it's down low it's never going to get examined too closely anyway.

I didn't even really like watching it if I'm honest let alone getting in.

Re: Panigale 1199 test ride

I think with traction control becoming the norm now the gap between the 600's and the 1000's will open out again. I've never ridden a litre bike so I have no idea how hard it is to get the power down? On the 899 which I think had traction control I had no problem at all getting the power down!

Re: Panigale 1199 test ride

Am I the only one who really really wants to try "195bhp 'kin 'ell mode"? Just for a bit. The 899 makes just under 150hp. Roughly the same as a gsxr 750. That 1199 must be an animal!

Re: Retro Fit

I had a quick Google and couldn't see any horror stories. However googling retrofit was a bit vague and I ended up reading about retrofitting electric folding mirrors onto a BMW 7 series. It can be done if anyone wondered lol? Far too easily distracted!

Re: Insurance time

I'm with Hastings this time, MCE previously. No claims yet so no reason to complain. I tend to just go with the cheapest known company that includes leather cover etc from an insurance comparison site. I think there are only 20 or so actual insurance providers and then hundreds of brokers?
