Thanks monty but it's for my wifes SV650 and i've already cut the alarm section of the loom.
It's actually really easy to bypass the alarm, providing you can get to the alarm connector

Re: SV650 Alarm problem
Bit of an update on this. Alarm turned out to be a Meta 357t (v1) These things are nigh on impossible to fix once the battery is dead. Difficult to get to (remove tail section), cut slots in the security screws and remove, then you can take the alarm off. The battery had obviously gone bad by the sm...

Re: SV650 Alarm problem
Thanks, i'll try leaving it disconnected overnight, I fear it might need to be reset and reprogrammed, I guess I could strip it down as much as I can to limit the amount of time a garage has to spend on it.
Will report back

Re: SV650 Alarm problem
It's definitely a meta alarm, one keyfob button. I'll dig through the docs.

SV650 Alarm problem
Hello all, been a while since i've posted on here, hope you're all well. I have a problem with the missus' curvy SV. She flattened the battery the other day trying to start it in the morning, I didn't put it on charge immediately and left it a couple of days, when I got round to it, the battery was ...

Re: wireless alarm
Some police forces have been giving away free shed alarms, we had them come round our village a few months ago but I missed out. Worth a look https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=police+free+shed+alarms&rlz=1C1CHFX_en-GBGB563GB563&oq=police+free+shed+alarms&aqs=chrome..69i57.4432j0j7&so...

Re: Flat Battery ... my fault or theirs ?
Glad you got it sorted, but as a side note, if it was an AGM battery, I have recently been through 2 of these (one under warranty) within 3 months each. It turns out older bikes (even mine with its uprated reg/rec) don't work well with AGM batteries. Every bit of information I could find states that...

I've seen this discussed at length on scuba boards http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/diving-medicine/345668-human-crush-depth.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; But theoretical crush depths are one thing, uniform pressure is another. At the depth of 3 miles, the bodies woul...

Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....
My missus isn't on here, so i'll post her embarrassing one on her behalf. Bike - Bandit 600 (Big bike for a small woman) Her old rented flat didn't really have room for a bike and car on the driveway, her housemate owned a car so she had to squeeze her bike on the path next to the car. One day on th...

Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....
All good stories :) I have a couple. Bike - Suzuki GZ125. Parked up in town and tried to ride off with the disklock on, luckily it was a saturday and there was only a few hundred people around, bike went down and I got stuck under it, a middle aged woman had to come lift it off me, I didn't notice t...
