Re: New Car
..Manual shifts have had their day in cars, IMHO. Autoboxes are so good now that changing gear manually is just a chore. Interesting Duke. I used to be a die-hard "manual only" type. I have still never owned an automatic car. However when I had finished repairing the old JCB digger I brou...

Re: Trickle Charger Usage
Fwiw I have a couple of Optimates, and use them all the time. On the bikes I don't use I have the batteries daisy-chained on an Optimate to maintain them & avoid them becoming sulphated. They seem to last very well, no side effects & no failures. What type of trickle charger are you using ma...

(shocked) 8 speed paddleshift. (rock) I didn't even spot the paddles (headbang) Having never sat in a car with paddles let alone driven one , I can honestly say my jealousy threshold is fast reaching never previously attained heights. I bet Mrs C00kiemonster is a double for Angelina Jolie too.! ;(

Re: Snetterton Open Pitlane Trackday - 25th June
There is a downside to OPL's, if you are a crash hazzard like me. I found that they do not red flag the track to collect crashed bikes until there are a few to collect. In my case this has resulted in me waiting at the side of the track for over an hour waiting with a marshal before they sent the bi...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bls1KKDwmo Good to be Bad (devil) LOL, I have to be honest & admit when that advert came on the TV last night I immediately thought of C00kiemonster. (blush) Thanks for posting us up the extra pics mate, very very lovely indeed. They really hide that engine away ...

Uber cool in the matte carbon look Bratty.
If it's not too crass a question ; roughly how much does carbon wrapping cost, relative to Carbon Fibre product itself please.?

(blush) Jealousy is a shameful trait Cookie. ...The bonnet is cool too as it opens like the e-type (ie the wrong way)...... Any chance of a quick peek under her clothes mate.? Oh, and perhaps the cabin too.? Not that I'm that impressed, obviously... :x Very Nice Leigh (y) Why did you go for a slow r...

Re: Test rides
Fwiw I wouldn't consider trying to get my knee down on the road, well not a normal road anyway. The roads have potholes & lumps everywhere. You can come across spilt diesel, muppets at standstill round a blind bend & cars on your side of the road. Any of the above can be terminal, so I try ...

Re: Insurance Loan Cars
I'm in the same boat as Rob. Last time I had to have a courtesy car the supplied me with "an equivalent" car.
They delivered a brand spanking new Subaru Impreza.
I did have fun "running it in" for the three weeks I had it.

Re: New Ignition switch
I agree with DaytonaAndy. I had a new key cut for my 675, and it was a plain blank from the Triumph dealer. It has not transponder chip in it & does not need matching electronically in any way. There is an option where you can have your datatool alarm fob (if you have one) attached to the key bl...

This is going to be a little monotonous J J, because I will also suggest that a good chain & padlock is almost a must these days. Almax if you can afford it, or there are some pretty good value Oxford ones if funds are tight. I agree with Rossgo, a discklock with built in alarm makes for the bes...

Cracking write up God'.
You say about the Duke having more top end, but you were also impressed by the GS's bottom end grunt. Do I take it that the GS had more usable bottom end than the Duke.?
