As the decade ends ...

what's been the bike you've enjoyed owning the most?

No necessarily the best bike, but the one you've had the most fun on?

Tough one for me as I've had a lot of bikes over the last 10 years. The 675 was a laugh but I didn't have it for long. The Versys 650 has been pretty surprising. Mixed feelings about both zxz6r's (facepalm)

I think I'll go with the z1000sx. A proper all rounder that did me proud for work, touring and on the back roads.

Probably obvious for me my cbr1000rr8. Just did everything you asked of it very well.

Tough call and I would maybe say the Speed Triple will eventually eclipse it, but it's too early to say at the moment, but it is a very fun motorcycle.

Most fun bike was probably my 50cc Piaggio Zip because it gave me my first bit of freedom. Terrible bike for anything outside of the city but it did 130mpg full throttle!!

Most disastrous bike was the Aprilia SX125. 2 stroke with a fixed powervalve so it really was all or nothing. Amazing fun but I crashed 5 times in 5 months.

Best bike... it's the mighty ZX6R. The level of my riding surpasses anywhere I thought I may be able to get. I've learned so much on that thing and I never want to sell it.

I would say the S1000 R :) got the first one in 2014 , enjoyed every time I have been out on it.
Also my gixer 600 track bike, It has been a hoot to ride on track and taught me a lot about bike control, which has been useful on the road as well.

Probably my Street Triple, but i was so suprised by how capable and fun the Duke690 and MT07 are too. They persuaded me that low weight is the way to go.

I really couldn’t say... I’ve enjoyed all the bikes for different reasons.

The best all rounder would be the Multi but the ZX10R for outright hooning.

Multi DVT was the best bike but the Street Triple RS is the most fun.

You don’t need 150+ bhp to have fun on the roads, lighter weight makes for more fun than more power does in my opinion.

Hmm tough..very tough.. I really loved the tiger 800XC and the XCA of late..

However the Cross Plane R1 (2010). Which I had for 5 years and up to 85,000 miles from zero.. is the winner.

Never let me down. Thrashed, tracked and crashed..and even got me a ban.. Image

Toured over Europe multiple times. And a solid daily commuter 365 days a year in all weathers inc..snow and ice

That's the clear winner for me. Good memories.

Photo of the day I sold it

Yep.

Someone on his R1 over took a car on the motorway at warp speed.

Guess who was driving the car? :D :D

Rick got in touch with me and I sorted him out with a local solicitor who got him an excellent result.

I still can't believe how lightly you got off. I told you that statement from the copper was a good one. He could have put the boot in.

Oh I need to meet up with you guys to get the full story here!

My closest call was averted thanks to 2 mates not wanting to stop for the cop so as they took off, I turned around and went for a butty

Hehe... Long story. But lets just say... I will never mistake the bluey type effect of white halogen headlights again "it's not a cop cars flashers" it's just new car headlights... From a far...

When in fact... They were blue flashers ImageImageImageImageImage
