I was genuinely interested in what you meant by chequered past. I don't know much about him other than the government has tried to shut him down in the courts as a whistleblower.

Johnson's new line is that it was his job to go to parties

So that's a move from there were no parties, to I didn't know there were parties to I had to go to parties.

Isn’t there a suggestion that the police interviewed him under caution?

It seems he was given a questionaire to fill out which has a similar legal standing to an actual police interview.

The Home Office has blocked visa requests from Ukrainians stuck in Ukraine.

In the meantime Ireland has waived the requirement for a visa and will welcome anyone with a Ukraine passport.

I see that the UK Government is giving the Russians plenty of time to liquidate their assets before the sanctions kick in :x

Remember that Number 10 Press Room Johnson had built?

Guess the nationality of the company who fitted all of the electrics and electronics.

The Bank of England have warned that inflation is likely to hit 10% this year.

Interest rates have increased to 0.75%

I read a FT item that forecast 8% by June, topping off slightly above that in the third quarter (or fourth - I forget..) and then a gradual drop to follow.
But a year from now, who knows?? - a lot can happen.

How much longer so we have to put up with this incompetant **** as the premier of this country? It's beyond embarrassing now.

Comparing the invasion of Ukraine to Brexit, unbelievable.

There's suggestions that reigniting the Remain/Leave fight he can win back some of the Leave voters.

I think that's going to backfire.

Perhaps what he should have said was that the people who voted for Brexit had boosted the UK , like the Russian invasion has boosted the Ukraine?

The massive increase in the cost of living will be the big battleground at the next election.

Most people are going to see a significant reduction in their standard of living over the next year.
