I've started conversations with new recruiters and applied for another job today.

I've had good and bad experiences with and without recruiters, there appears to be an element of luck of the draw

My manager is back at it again.... "I've had reports of..."

I literally stated the length of time estimated to complete paperwork and now it's all blown up. Other people in the meeting said much more controversial opinions than that.

Talk about a dampener at the end of the week. C\/NT!

An ex-colleague turned friend and godfather of my Son referred me for a Senior role at his place of employment. He's an excellent engineer and just received the promotion he's earned of Lead Engineer.

The role he referred me for is automating existing manual processes in an NPI environment. There's leadership involved which is fantastic. The downside is another lengthy commute.

Applied.

They run a company bus service from Bristol so that wouldn't be awful.

I could kill people in this job, and not figuratively speaking either...

Good job I've had a couple of interviews this week and secured a perm job with a fintech startup. Looks very promising so hoping this is the one that keeps me interested for a few years.

We are a step closer to being done here

We are at a export rate that we can't maintain enough feed to onshore, so they shut down to us for good at 9pm last night. next time they start up again will be from feed form a different field that is getting developed, approx. 2 yrs from happening.

Unfortunately the company secured a domestic gas contract so we ares till trickling gas to that and running for the meantime. If we have a plant upset and trip, it's highly unlikely we could start the place again at these rates. I have everything crossed (lol)

My performance, ability and multi-tasking were questioned yesterday.

I was asked why I've completed so many files in the last 2 weeks and therefore what have I been doing for the last 6-8 months.
I was asked why I'm so slow.
I was told that I can't multi-task.

Notice how the first two points are contradictory? They were said in the same sentence.

My monthly output remains unchanged.
I'm now getting more attention on my work so people are beginning to actually notice what I'm achieving.
In the last 2 weeks I've been fortunate that the files I've come to are almost copy and paste of previous files.
I've been reprimanded for working on other projects so exclusively worked on one - but even that's wrong.
My original estimate for date of completion remains the same.

No day in the last 2 weeks has been my highest daily output, that happened in August... so they're talking complete bollocks.

My idea of multi-tasking is beer & sex & chips & gravy.

It's funny how shit management always come up with the same old crap..

I had probably the same email when I said I wanted to leave the previous job.. I wasn't a team player, and didn't try to integrate. Yet at the same time I had no self motivation and spent all my time asking the team for work. While not forgetting the closing statement of I only work by myself... Etc.. etc... yadda... Yadda....
