May not be that far from the mark (should that be Marque).

Isn't MG owned by a chinese company?

Tbh being bought out by foreign ownership is the only way Norton will survive I don't see a big queue of British billionaires ready to invest their money into this Country, they would rather have it stashed in some offshore tax haven.

It seems TVS make this for BMW.

I suspect Indian ownership will be better for Norton, than being owned by a British scumbag.

Hopefully it was the half that designed that chromed-out RR monstrosity.

I meant the incarnation prior to the Garner era , the Norton that made the rotary engines and won the TT .

The last i heard Garner had done a runner to South Africa. Seems he has a ranch out there.

Were there any justice in this World, then he would be tracked down, the ranch forcibly sold and the monies raised uised to pay the pensioners and business he has take for a ride. And then he would be brought back to answer the questions on where the money went.

It's a shame that (seemingly) 1 person has forever tarnished a great name.

Well, if they got their $hit together and fielded a decent product throughout the entire design-sales-ownership cycle then maybe they'd be in with a chance.
The 961 is a very nice-looking bike...but everyone else makes a nice-looking bike too, so why lay out way more cash for something so problematic...?? All you're getting is exclusivity. Fat lot of good that's going to do you when you're standing at the side of the road.

They're going to build bikes customers have put deposits on.

The 961 commando bikes will be produced and sent out once customers have paid the balance. You don't have to buy one if you don't want to.

I'd say thats good considering legally they have no reason to honour anything from the previous company. It does make me nervous some of the previous characters are still involved with the company unfortunately.
