Another example where a few people in the market ( Netflix, Sky, Amazon) will hold all the cards and you will have little option but to buy through them?

We use my son's playstation as a Blu-ray player.
The problem with relying on Netflix and Amazon for your films is that they're all too frequently censored.

It's the way forward....all the features of the DVD medium without the actual physicality of the DVD player+disc in one location.
Just like CDs in music....everything is a download these days.

I do like having the disc even if I choose to stream it when I already own it, if the content goes away I can always get the disc out.

Hmmm I'm unsure about purely downloadable content. With a DVD you run out of room in the draw but then sell on, with download you run out of hard disc space and then what, can't sell them on. I do still like having something physical.
It's like downloading a PlayStation, why download as you will get bord of the game when the latest ones come out and at the moment GAME still take swappies so i prefer that method personally

But then again I'm ageing now and the youngsters haven't got a clue about money, they fiance everything little or small and say that being in debt is fine. Who am I when I have been taught to save for my things and bye outright if I can't do that then I dont buy it.

30 years old lol! But tell you what look at the kids now and it's all changed, you seen them in the best kit, best mobiles and seem to be all about that type of tech. I still remember using your finger as a rewind tool on a tape cassette, then getting it messed up and all the tape coming out...putting it back into its rightful case and when your parents notice you shaking your head and sayong, nope I had no idea how it ended up lile that

I remember saying "CD's will never catch on" I don't download much at all here days , new music doesn't do it for me quite as much as it did 20 years ago.
Any music I listen to now is mostly live and prefer festivals most of all... never seems the same listening to live music indoors.
That is getting too infrequent nowadays... didn't get a Glastonbury ticket his year, managed Download last year and line up so far is pretty good for next summer
