Insurance renewal time again.

Carole Nash have just sent me my renewal.

The same bikes and details as last year. One year more no claims bonus. The reported incident from October to be taken into account.

Last year was just over £700.

Guess what they want this year?

If the incident hasn't been settled yet, I'm going to say £980. I think I read somewhere that until it's settled they assume it's your fault.

They found out you might be moving so £500, to be upped to £900 + admin fee when you actually move.

Knowing how daft insurance companies are and how they punish loyalty, £1250.01?

Have you had time to shop around before committing to sell the striple?

Yep.

I called them and told them I wasn't renewing. "Let me see if I can improve that for you".
No, if you wanted my custom you wouldn't have sent me a renewal twice last year's price.

Insurance companies need to sort themselves out and give everyone fair prices

Unfortunately insurance companies are a commercial enterprise there to make money. They make money by reducing their risk to as little as possible.

Our misfortune is that we are legally obliged to use their services. There are good guys out there.

I used Carole Nash fora number of years up until just over a year ago. Their company profile seems to gave changed in the last few years.
