And in this morning's news....

A 14 year-old Fullerton boy has been detained after threatening to "shoot up the school".
A search of his home has yielded a load ed handgun.

Was "youth-yielding-handgun" a commonly heard phrase 20 years ago? What I'm getting at is, is the "I'm offended / nanny state" mentality causing all of this stuff? Kids aren't scared of stepping out of line these days because authorities nor their parents have power to do anything

University Of Texas Massacre back in the 60's ended up with @ 20 fatalities & 3 dozen wounded....or something similar.

Wasn't he a trained sniper? There's reference to him in one of the Vietnam films (Full Metal Jacket I think).

Wiki tells me he was a sharpshooter & scored 215 out of a possible 250 in his test.
That's pretty good, but nowt exceptional.
