No, not my mate

There's a new race in Wales - 4th and 5th August.

It's outside Brecon on some MOD Land.

I hope it takes off.

Isn't the allure of road racing the fact that there is white lines, cats eyes, lamp posts etc. and all the dangers that they bring ?

Depends if you're riding a bike or not :D

Scuff, if you notice at the TT there is a distinct lack on cats eyes around the track, and the white lines are different than normal ones

Very true but there are plenty of houses, walls and other road furniture. Reading the MCN description there is a complete lack of anything of that sort..... They make it sound like some kind of long distance closed circuit ?

It was merely my observation and not meant as any kind of negativity as any other bike racing that I can travel to see is alright in my book and I can see where from the description it would be hard to pidgeon hole with what to call it .

So who's going? I'm a definite and thinking I might combine it with a few days ragging around South Wales and Ireland. (camping)

I've found the track on Google Maps, so spring Tank Slap rideout/track test is also a must.

I am in... I thought it was MOD land, so not for us types.... I am sure that if it was an open road it would have been as well known as the Crossgate to Newtown road?

They’re public roads on MOD land Frankie. There’s miles of unknown fantastic roads in South Wales, I rarely see other bikes on them.

A lap of the track. Looks fast.

Anyone fancy booking a bell tent for the event?
