I want that roadster - how fast?

Trucks are a perfect use for this tech.

My worry on all of it is electrical infrastructure. Hats off to them mind.

Did he have a stutter or was he suffering from nerves?

The good thing about trucks from an electric point of view is that they're large, so they can carry massive batteries.

The batteries are likely to be too heavy to make it competitive against a normal truck, the weight of the batts erodes the max cargo capacity, the truck will have a max loaded weight, of which only 15-20% is normally the tractor unit.
It could do well in L.A, N.Y, Paris and possibly London on short haul deliveries, of course if there’s a viable alternative to diesel trucks the legislation is likely to change more quickly in other cities etc.

Watch the video, Deegee. It has far more pull than a diesel truck.

I know the torque characteristics of electric traction suit use in a truck, it’s the weight of the batteries cutting into the payload that I feel will lessen its competitiveness against traditional designs. I bet the Formula E guys are ringing Musks phone now asking for earlier than 2019 delivery times though.

They use electric trucks around Port-Of-LA/Port-Of-Long Beach as "hook-ups" in the yards....battery starts going dead & they just stick in on charge & jump into another one.

25 years ago, a practical hybrid was a pipe dream....these days we don't give them a second thought.....
