He was a jobsworth and went over each bike finding issues with documents and reg plate on one of the bikes. He got to about €400 of fines, then stated we could go on our way

Significant changes are being introduced in October this year to personal injury claims which will have a knock on for damage only matters as well.

And the changes are not for the better either. We are bracing ourselves for a real backlash.

I've seen those.

I'm all for reducing the costs of claims made but not at the expense of Claimants' rights to have access to legal advice and loss of damages.

The Versys is booked in for next Friday (26th). I'll get a new chain and sprocket kit put on it as well while it's in.

The bike is all fixed and I've had a letter from Carole Nash that the claim has been withdrawn.

Hopefully that's the end of it.

No, I've got my NCB back, which is why I've decided to pay for it myself. I had a £300 excess, so that, losing 2 years NCB and having to declare a claim for 5 years didn't seem worth going through the insurance.

Glad it’s fixed ok but not the circumstances. Unfortunately we now have a society where crime pays and being honest doesn’t.

Can't believe this. Just caught up. Glad your bikes fixed, but that is shit news overall that you get no rights to claim off anyone.

Makes you wonder what the point of insurance is. It doesn't seem to protect you.
