So what do I need to Know ?

What are the problems ?

What should I look out for ?

Looking for low mileage bike (under 10k) for aroud 4k mark.

lots of knowledge on here so looking for some good buying advice

For the road or the track? The 2013+ model is said to be more like an il4.

Not got the budget for a 13 plate mate. As I looking to spend around £4000 on a tidy low mileage bike.

It will be for both track and road use a bit like the B1 I used to have a few years back.

Not rushing into things just doing my homework at the moment. Ideally I would like to pick something up just after Xmas.

Knowing very little, the Gen 1 675 was holding its own against the Gen 2 bike for a while in superstock and the Gen 2 can still take it to the Gen 3..

Good choice it's prefect bike for both road and track use!

I think for what I can remember

Be careful of the CCT they are self adjusting but sometimes they stop adjusting so listen out to a loud tick or change to a manual one

Reg/rec go quite a bit

It is very track focuses bike so it is heavy in your wrists (pre 13 bike) and setup is pretty firm too

Think I heard problems with the dash too letting water in

Everyone get a double bubble screen for it as the orginal is pretty useless

Think that's all I remember about the 675 daytona think I would of held onto mine as I genuinely love it but @Daytonandy had one for a fair few years he will be more up to date with any problems

Keep your eyes peeled on 675cc as bikes and bits of bling come up for sale on a regular basis.

Totally agree seems to be more of a selling site now so you will defo get something!

if it was just a track bike you were after I know a guy with 3 British supersport spec daytonas sitting in a garage that he might be parting with and only wants about 3k each bike, If I had the money id snap it up in a heartbeat, one is 11k but that's the 2014 Evo championship winning bike, although I have had my gruby mits all over that so you probably don't want that one lol

As Kwacky confirmed, there are often bikes offered up over on the little 675.cc website.
£4k should get you a really decent bit of kit IMO.
The very earliest ones have (slightly) heavier wheels.
Post 2010 they have a revised engine, new front brakes, wiring to take plug & play quickshifter etc... Therefore worth having a preference for.?
The 675r is effectively the same bike but has upgraded suspension & Brembo brakes.

As you know I rate them. Good engine and good chassis. Aim for a 2010 to 2012 one if you can. Wouldn't overly worry about the reg rec as if it needed doing it will probably have been recalled by now. Loads of second hand parts available for the 10-12 and also a quickshifter is plug and play whereas it wasn't on the slightly older model. I have a power commander 5 and a codons quickshifter as well as bits of bodywork etc lying around if you get one!
