Donington and Silverstone usually, i guess for the noise reasons. Donington is usually on the Tuesday after WSBK weekend at the end of May.

Yes I 've seen it. Stupidly he offered it me for 90 delivered but as I hadn't got the Bike at the time I hesitated. Will probably go go to 150 now

I fancy a race shock but there are few options available unfortunately for sensible money

Ohlins £1200 with 10% price increase rumoured

Ktech 35DDS £1200

Wilber don't make anything

Don't want a Nitron

Maxton could be the only option

Fwiw, although C/F is always trick, I personally think that the colour distribution of the red front mudguard works far better for the overall look of the bike.??
As for the rear shock, presumably it is a popular upgrade for 1299 owners.? Also the OEM one is hardly likely to be "limiting" your enjoyment of the riding the rest of this season? -So perhaps asking Mr Duke to keep an eye out on that ducati website over this winter for someone selling one where they have stripped back to std spec' prior to selling the bike?? -Or even perhaps a wanted advert on there.???

Great minds think alike. Ideas suggested are already in process but Maxton is an option too as always fancied trying their shock.

What's the standard rear shock like? Is it worth having it refreshed (I know it's still new, but a change of oil etc) and the spring upgraded?

I'd be thinking more along the lines of a valving change, I'd imagine a lot of the internals are similar to a TTX shock anyway

@Kwacky I have spoken with Revs Racing and they said don't bother wasting your money the Sachs shock is very poor quality. Also I ve never been a fan of a revalve as had it done before and wasn't impressed. IMO spending £300 on a revalve will cost you the same or highly likely more than buying a race shock you can sell on when you get rid of the bike.

@Cav not specifically after an Ohlins but the TTX is twin tube and not sure any OEM shocks use this design tbh. Most shocks are cheap as its a way of saving money and they know alot of people will junk them anyway so pointless adding cost into the bike price is what I m told.

Have you looked at Bitubo? I think they are used in BSB by Motorapido

Isn't it an Ohlins unit on the standard 1299? If It's Ohlins then I'd imagine a revalve would be worthwhile.

You should probably consider the typical owner of a Ducati when you see what the other owners are doing - they're likely to be loaded and just throw money at it.. there's certainly not many well ridden Ducatis at trackdays I'll put it that way.

What I'm trying to say is, just because everyone else has put a race shock on it may not actually be necessary

Cav whether I need it or not my last 4 bikes I've fitted a race shock and enjoyed the benefits.

I'm not the doctor or MM but I can notice the difference and I can tell the short comings of the oem shock and give feedback to a supplier for a custom set up.

Big misconception that you need to be a riding God to see the benefits of good suspension. A n8bber like me can feel the improvements so there's hope for everyone esle.

Ohlins is not standard on a 1299 no, hence why I said it's a Sachs shock
