Looks like it's about to hit Cuba.

The US Public has already hit the panic button, it seems.

I'm doomed

No need to panic, they've had a prayer in the White House.

Well spoke to my old man last night and they have been evacuated from where they were staying to a hotel right next to the airport, there flight is due to leave on Saturday evening before it makes landfall anyway but obviously so many unknowns at the moment.

That's got to be a relief.

Figure it this way....it's kinda like earthquakes....I've been through quite a few of them...it's the first one that's a big deal ( unless you're at the epicenter).....it's the unfamiliarity more than anything, as sadly they don't have earthquakes anywhere near Sunderland....which, all things considered, is a great shame.
