Got the shed erected but need to re felt as the old felt was damaged in a few locations when taking the shed down to be moved.
Question is should I remove the old felt or am I opening a can of worms and as the original felt is good in 95% of its area just put the new felt over the top of the old felt and seal in place with adhesive.
Just paid £65 for felt so would rather get right first time.

Is this roof felt we're talking about, felt for the floor (underlay), etc.??

If its glued on properly before its probably going to be difficult to remove. I would glue over the top if that's the case.

Can you post a photo of the damage??
....As it transitions to the unaffected area.

It's shed felt D41.
It is only damaged where I had to cut it to remove screws for dismantling. Can be sealed back up with some bitumen based sticky stuff and then new felt placed over the top.

Leave it on, bitumen the the gaps then new stuff over the top. Should be fine.
