Thanks for the good wishes guys, I appreciate it although for me it is not a day I relish or celebrate anymore as it was my birthday 19 years ago that my mother died at the age of 61.

Then mate, all I can suggest is use your birthday to celebrate BOTH your lives together.
Spend some quiet time by yourself and drink a toast to her, and to all that she gave you, which is.....everything.

I hear what you re saying. I learnt to deal with it a long time ago. It isjust a day I don't celebrate anymore, and I don't usually mention it to anyone because my family know that it is not a day I particularly enjoy, and in any case drinking a toast to her with a glass of water doesn't really cut it being tee total as I am
