Some friends of mine are hooked on cruises, they love it. Like you they pick which area of the world they want to go to and then decide which company to use.

But there is no way I can get my wife on a ship for that long. It's hard enough to get her to sail to Caldey Island when we go to Tenby :D

Are guests getting away with MURDER on cruise ships? After 200 passengers go missing since 2000, the family of British woman who vanished are among many facing long battles for justice due to murky laws

Well that's my holiday plans 'scuppered'!!!

I could totally see murder happening on a cruise ship.....anywhere you put people, they're gonna do what people do - both good and bad, and at times to extremes.

Canary Islands is a good shout mate, or Majorca, think it would be cheap enough but for 3 days unsure if it's really worth it. Personally I'd say going off to a city break would be a good experience, maybe Rome, Berlin, Paris, or well any of the European cities, sure you can pick up flights for £60 or so plus get to look around some historical cities?

Sorry Kwacky I read your post and saw at the end 3 days but rereading it I realise you were talking of going to Oz and the travelling time plus time difference gives you a small amount of time there as a normal human being and not being like a zombie, 3 days just stuck in my head after reading everyone's posts

Plenty of places for a week. Any holiday away is better than nothing in my honest opinion, everyone has come up with some great ideas
