Scorpion Lids

Anyone got any experience with them ?

I am toying with the idea of buying an adventure lid, like this one

https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorc ... rod/324428" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's for commuting so the peak would be handy for those times of the year where the sun is low and the inner sun visor isn't strong enough.

I still have a Scorpion helmet which really needs chucking out as its about 6 years old, great helmet but found it a bit heavy compared to others. Fitted my head shape well though which was the most important thing and a lot cheaper than other makes. Oh and it was in Italian colours which swayed my decision :D

It looks nice, if that's any help?

The peak looks a little high, but I presume they've thought about where it needs to be rather than where looks the best.

I presume it's positioned to do the job in giving some shade but provide enough clearance for the visor to pass through.

I'm not too bothered about weight, unless it is excessively heavy.

Compared to the other lids you've posted about in the past, I think you might be a bit disappointed.....which is not to say they're "bad", just not 'very good' or 'great'.

The sort of lid the Long Beach Assassins would go for.

I would do a bit of research and read up on them. Some peaks are noisy and will lift the helmet at speed. Others don't.

Looks good to be honest but don't know enough about them type of lids. Like D says you are used to very good lids so this may not be to that standard and you may feel short changed at £230?
