Next mod I think will be a rear hugger. I'm skint until pay day but there's no harm in doing some window shopping

Powerbronze do a nice one with silver mesh http://powerbronze.co.uk/productdetails ... _ID=900539" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Puig do a more practical looking design

Rear hugger on order. I've gone for the Powerbronze one in black with silver mesh.

I didn't fit the hugger. It looks like I've gone over some paint at some point as there are lots of small white specs of the stuff on the underside of the bike. I need to clear all of that off before I put the hugger on.

I'm starting to get pissed off with the tyres. They're unpredictable and very inconsistent. If Im losing confidence in them it's time to get shot.

I've asked for prices on the Z8 and the M7rr. I suspect that the Z8s will be better for the riding I do on this bike. I can't afford them until the end of July so I've got time to make my mind up.

Z8 is likely the best option.. FYI, there's a few £30 cashback rewards going round on Metzeler Tyres currently - I know Parkitt do them anyway

Yep, that is still running. It's a Metzeler promo so everyone is doing it.

Dunlop 222

I think the number represents how many times the tyres will slip during a ride home.

:D

OEM fit tyres are never as good or grippy as the tyres you buy after IMO. I've never had a set of tyres on a newer bike (or test bike) i liked. Might be psychological but i'm happier with new rubber.

My new bike (did i mention i've bought a new one :P ) has Pirelli Rosso Corsa's on it so i'll be interested to see how i feel on them. The RS i tested had Supercorsa's on them (same as first tyres on RC8) and i don't like them at all.

I think those are the same tyres on my Street Triple.

If they are they're fantastic in the dry but I'm not keen on them in the wet.

A September ride to the Isle of Man and back should cure that ;)

Im running roadtec 01's on the MT-10 and love them, better than the standard Bridgestone S20 and lasting way longer, 2k miles and barely any visible wear with all that power chewing the rear.

The 01s are alright but I found them to be a bit bland. I prefer the Z8s

And talking of which, I've booked the bike in for the end of the month to have a set of Z8s fitted. M front for better wet grip and standard rear.

From their site:-

"This new front tyre was updated with a new compound and carcass for more performance, wet grip, and mileage. To help distinguish the previous version from the new we have added an M to the sidewall"
