France Presidential election.

Post by duke63 »

Not only have the rejected racism, hate and division but France has also elected a President not affiliated to the two main Parties in France.

How the UK could do with some new vision like that in Politics.

They've got a completely different political set up to us though.

Yes, I understand its very different but wouldn't it be good for a new Party to evolve that really did want to create a better, more caring and more balanced Society?

Somehow I don't think either the Tories or Labour would want that.

That's the gap the LibDems should be filling.

We'll see how Labours right wing fares after the Election, my money is on some form of faction splitting away and doing something with the Lib Dems unless Jezza pulls off a Labour win.

Macron's election will be good for Europe and bad for Brexit.

Wait until he undoes the 'Le Touquet ' agreement so border controls move back to the UK. If brexiteers thought migration was a problem, wait until then. Macron's stance regarding Brexit is very hard line towards the UK leaving - there is not going to be a good negotiation.

I've voted Tory many times in the past - however the current lot are utterly deluded. The mess is only going to get bigger.

Please vote Lib Dems people - they may have their faults, but the current shower of left and right are destroying the country slowly.

They were also saying on the radio today that he will be very pro-France in a business way and has plans on moving much of the City of London banking sector to Paris.

What's the betting on him 'persuading' Nissan that their French owned factory in Sunderland would be much better situated in France once trade tariffs are introduced to and from the UK.
