If your exhaust is loud enough, and you have plugs in, there's no issues to hear.

That reminds me, I need to take the baffle out of the Arrow can.

I had same issue when I thought about following it on the speed. Almost impossible and about 66mph top speed. Means changing gear loads too.

I'm sure it's all about just being easy for the running in period, and to get you acclimatised. The odd squirt wont harm, and it does say not to keep constant revs.

I seem to remember a few threads about running in. They want running in reasonably hard as things seal better. 675s that have been run in gently appear to use more oil in later life.
Bike looks lovely btw. The Arrow can sounds well on it.

The advice from the dealer was take it reasonably gentle until the first service, then pretty much go for it, within reason.

Pretty much ride it how you would ride it any other time just avoid massive load on the engine (low revs, high gear, full throttle). Also use semi synthetic oil. It's been known that using fully synthetic oil can prevent piston rings from "bedding" properly because it's too lubricating

Yes. Start customizing the bike the very first day you own it.

The customisation started before I picked it up

I may have taken the backroads home.

I tell you what, if the 765 is the same fun with more power I'm getting one. It's such a hoot to ride, so light and flickable.

Couple of little gripes - the sidestand isn't easy to get to.
I'm used to being able to cycle through the screen using a button on the handlebar - reaching to the screen isn't very user friendly
The fuel gauge doesn't fill up straight away.

Things I want to get:-

Levers
Bar end mirrors
Tank protector
Heel guards
Front fork protectors
Engine cases
Stand bobbins

I'll remove the rear pegs at some point.


Stuff will have to wait though, that's my spending done and I've got the SX to service and both bikes to insure by the end of March
