Just heard it on the news that the great man has died earlier today at the age of 83.

I had the good fortune to meet him a couple of times, what a gent he was. He should have been knighted years ago. May he rest in peace and thank you for the wonderful legacy and memories of my youth.

Can't ever see anyone emulating his achievements on both two and four wheels.

Sad loss to the Motorsport world. How was he never knighted?
