Martin Clunes has gone down in my estimation
You would think that being in the public eye he of all people would be a little more considerate.

Another dickhead with a phone/camera.
Says in the blurb that he was "literally lost for words" but talks non-stop...??

Re: Martin Clunes has gone down in my estimation
I can't say I m that bothered tbh. I wouldn't do it myself but it's hardly crime of the century and Martin Clunes is not nasty or offensive he's more get a life pal it's not the end of the world, which let's be honest it's not.
If anyone looked a dick it's the argumentative jobs worth with the camera IMO.

I would go along with that. He shouldn't have parked there.

I have to be honest, I'd be pretty pissed off too if someone had named me "Gareth".

He shouldn't have parked in the bike bay, obviously.
But it's hardly the crime of the century, just the usual aloof attitude taken by a good number of self important twunts..
The guy with the camera sounds like a knob IMHO, "it's the same as parking in a disabled bay" .. No it isn't FFS.
( & that's from someone who "may" park in one of the many empty disabled bays in the packed carpark at Asda.)

Ha ha ha, it's wrong obviously, however if it was outside a tea room, selling cake.... that would be the sin of the century and not forgivable, If bikers could not park in their space.
Just shows he is a lazy git, and can't be bothered to walk to the front door, or bythe looks spend a few pence on bags for his shopping. Lol.

Re: Martin Clunes has gone down in my estimation
I personally don't see him as a selfish person. My partner works in a supermarket and so many people park in disabled bays or parent bays everyday, with different car types going from corsa Bs with rust around the wheel arches too big '66 plate Mercedes-Benz! The rider was just filming this because Clunes is famous if we all filmed these type of acts everyday we literally would have to have it as a job. The bloke simply didn't have anywhere else to park and let's face it in supermarkets you may only see 1 or 2 in the motorcycle bays and maybe another 2 right by the entrance of the supermarket.
Clunes wasn't argumentative or swearing he just wanted to do his shopping that's all

Or doesnt spend money on cars anymore. 55 plate BMW - tut tut.Frankie wrote:Ha ha ha, it's wrong obviously, however if it was outside a tea room, selling cake.... that would be the sin of the century and not forgivable, If bikers could not park in their space.

I think motorcycle and family spaces should be further from the supermarket. People are less likely to use them for anything other than their purpose. Putting them near the shop is asking for trouble.

Re: Martin Clunes has gone down in my estimation
It was his attitude that had my blood boiling. If he'd just said sorry I'd have had no problem but the self righteous 'I do what I want' attitude would have probably led me to block him in as by his own rules, park where you want!

Except he clearly was selfish. Nowhere else to park so he takes a space reserved for other transport. The very definition of selfish lol.

One word "entitled". Parking in a motorbike bay is not the end of the world, but he went down in my estimation when he said "so, what are YOU going to do about it"

Re: Martin Clunes has gone down in my estimation
To be honest if I go to a supermarket I very rarely use the biking bays. I tend to park right next to the building, against a wall, out of the way. Less chance of it being knocked over.
In cities though it's a different matter. Parking spaces for bikes are very limited. Parking a car in a bike bay is taking the piss.

Re: Martin Clunes has gone down in my estimation
I think we are all missing the point. This sort of stuff happens all the time. Noone is prefect and we can't judge a person on one action. It's been thrown around because he's famous. If this was anyone else it wouldn't of been put up onto FB. Don't see it as being selfish just trying to do his shopping. Maybe it would be different if it was a disabled space but it's not he clearly chose not to use them but into a space where very few people go
