It becomes a non-issue.

The searing headache after 40 mins of riding however, that was another story.
How come you ended up with a headache while using the lid? Was it a noisy lid?

No mate, in fact up to about 60-70mph it was possibly a bit quieter than my Shoei.

The problem seemed to be the helmet put pressure on my forehead. Not enough to be uncomfortable, that is until I'd been riding for about 35-40 mins.
I thought it would bed in after a while, but no.
Must just be the shape of my head disagreeing with the foam padding.
It's a shame because I love the lid, but it's definitely just for short trips now.

Must be your noggin Itchy, I have the same issue with the AGV yet my Shark fits perfectly.

I've now worn it below zero and above 40 deg C. Awesome in all extremes. The latch to crack the visor is great and the internal sun visor is a godsend. I didn't think it was dark enough initially but I've got used to it now and only direct sun glare do I wish for a bit more tint.

Had the same issue with my Shoei Itchy.

Use the back of a spoon to compress the liner a little and the problem is fixed. That's how the official shoei rep did mine and made a big improvement.

Itchy that's a shame about the fit of the Shark. But I suppose we can try all these lids on as many times as we like but the real test is living with the chosen lid that's when the tests start I guess.

NOW it makes sense...

I remembered somebody saying something about spoons, but had an image of riding around with spoon handles in front of my face like a floppy metal fringe.

I'll have a look.

I've used Shark lids for commuting and track days and not had any issues with them. I would buy another.

I had a shark for a few years, really good lid. The only real issue was the poor dealer network in the area. I also had the forehead pressure but not bad enough to give a headache.

Got it!! Tried it on to make sure it was a good fit (have bloody gel in my hair now it looks like i have dandruff )

Quiet a tight fit at the moment but will bed in very nice, no pressure spots that I could tell even with it being on my head for all of a minute lol!!

I'll take some pics later. However I don't think the pics will do it much justice, I mean this is fabulous looking lid (Darter paint scheme) in love with it to be honest!!

Thread revival!!

OK so Stow was my first time using this lid. What can I say WOW!! It's not the quietest but I'm not expecting that so what is it...the fit is amazing, it's like there's a cushion all around the top of my head, it's unbelievably stable and I think Frankie, Nutz and Farmer can all vouch it wasn't exactly a slow pace we were heading at. The view out the visor is very good however maybe not quite as much provisional vsion out the sides as my old NEXX and I must admit those big knobs at the side (think they are for tear aways) don't help matters but lots of room for the back of my neck for that 3/4 to fully tucked position. I need to get used to the visor lock, I seem to not use it as i forget then pushing it down and then not being able to pick the visor up again - I should get used to this though! Vents seem very good. Only had to use the front to stop/ slow down the fogging of the visor but I could tell that the vents are going to let in a lot of air.

Overall I LOVE this lid. Very happy I went for it to be honest. I know I took my time to decide but this is why I took so long!!
