Bar end mirrors

Post by duke63 »

Got one of each to try out.

To be honest the quality of fixings is poor and they are not very steady on the bike but they will do the job i want them to for now. A bit of work might make them more solid.

I just put one on each bar for now just to see how they fit but will try and get out on the bike tomorrow afternoon to try them for real. The vision in the round one is smaller and objects look further away but the glass is better quality and at the moment i think i prefer the look. I will do some better photos when i get the bike out.

I think the round ones suit the bike better

I have ordered a slightly different version of the round ones a bit more like the other version. Post up pics when I fit them/get them.

I don't have the standard bars on my bike but the round mirror fits better than the shaped one which works on squeezing a rubber bung to hold it in place which frankly doesn't work.

I think my bars work against me though as they are a 16mm internal diameter when as most are 18mm.

Prefer the shaped ones...they look more OEM to me....although TBH I prefer the originals on the nacelle more than either of them.

Tried the small round ones before and had to take my hands off the bars to see behind, which pretty much made them pointless.......plus cops can't really see them that well.....

"The reason I stopped you is your bike doesn't have any mirrors..."
"But officer.....I have these super-trick little round mirrors on the bar-ends!!"
"Oh yeah!....Those are frickin' cool as feck!!.....Let's see what other cool aftermarket sh*t you've got on this bike!!"

.....It'll be all downhill after that.
