Bar end mirrors on a sportsbike

I want to try a single bar end mirror on the 748 and junk the ugly and fairly useless standard mirrors.

The obvious answer is the blingtatsic Rizoma ones as I can also fit the Rizoma racing bar ends.

So round or shaped?

But they also do this as well.

So what do you think? Or any other ideas?

Any final choice will have to be all black.

Round = boring & uninspiring....look like something for applying cosmetics.

Shaped = stylish...will add to the look rather than detract from it.

Small round = Tits + bull.

I've got the Oberon Street fighter ones...

They're fairly small but once you're used to them and get them positioned correctly they give you all the view you need.

I originally wanted ones that were more angular, like the CRG Arrow, but I personally didn't like the way they attached to the bar end. The Oberon has its own bar end that the mirror first into. And you can get bigger ones than I've got too. If you want, that is.

Out of the ones you posted though, it's a toss-up between the shaped ones and the bottom picture.

Both look good.

Shaped. They give you options. I had them on my speed triple and I found it useful to switch their position depending on the riding I was doing.

Great mind's think alike Duke ;) been considering some myself.

Out of what you posted the single round black Rizoma one looks best imo 8)

Another option is these and I've been told they fit all bikes with 22mm bars with an internal diameter between 13 and 17mm.

Tony has a pair and can get discount too as mentioned in another post. They look like the ones fitted to the mega money RCV213 road bike and Tony vouches for the quality (y)

I reckon they would go well on the 748 actually, I like them over all the rizoma ones. (waits for Kwacky to ban me :D )

Personally I prefer the shaped ones however I don't like the idea of them being on the handlebars so I will have to say none of them!! No help whatsoever

Had a try out with them yesterday. The round one works well and is perfectly stable and vibration free as it fits by a metal collet that tightens to fit the inside of the bar. The image however is very small.

The shaped one gives a larger view but is in the wrong place and vibrates so much the image is unviewable. Don't buy any mirror with a rubber bung that tightens inside the bar, they vibrate far too much.

I will look at all the round options and see if i can find one with a bigger image. It would then be perfect.
