Cars you would like to drive

Rather than post on Blade's carbon thread, how about a few cars you would like to own/drive.

I used to find cars boring but they have changed without a doubt. The performance of some of them is amazing and whilst they could never replace my bikes here is a few i would like to drive.

Alfa 8C. Just the most beautiful lines.

Porsche Cayman GT4 - has to be in blue.

And the latest - Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio - A Ferrari-designed V6 engine and according to the latest Evo mag, up there with the best to drive.

I'm not likely to own or even drive any of them without a lottery win though. :D

As mentioned in Blade's thread, cars do nothing for me.

That said, I've always liked the look of the AC Cobra. The Yanks do muscle cars right IMO.

Those Alfa's are very nice Duke 8)

A mate went to buy a Cayman GT4 and the Dealer said you can go on the waiting list in position number 12 but we are only allocated 1 car (blush) They are in very short supply as going for £35k over list price on autotrader for nearly new models,

Would love to drive a Lambo, any Lambo......just a Lambo (lol)

I believe Porsche have a reputation for making their best cars very limited supply and some dealers abuse it.

When on the way to France last year a V6 Alfa pulled up in a fuel station beside us. Made a fantastic noise.

I was hoping to get out to do the Evo triangle in Wales on the bike at some point this year. Days are starting to run out though.

I like cars, but just can't get excited about driving them on British road. You're always just one old lady / lorry / caravan combo from mindless boredom.

I'm very lucky enough to own mine - Jaguar F-Type 8) Even after two years of ownership I love it.

If i did want something else - it would probably be a Lamborghini Aventador or a Lexus LFA tbh.

Lamborghini Aventador is very special.

Briefly rode behind one in the Italian Dolomites and the noise and presence of the vehicle was something very special indeed 8)

I used to be a car nut when younger and always lusted after Porsches. I still have yet to drive one. Being so far away from Europe the prices here for BMW's, Porsches, Alfa's etc is a bit ridiculous. As I've got older cars have totally lost their appeal and are just a utility for me. Two kids, two trailers and the need to cart firewood, landscape supplies, go camping etc there is no point me getting anything "fun".

But that said I'd cream my pants at a go in a Porsche 918 Spyder.

I'm toying with the idea of renting a decent Porsche for my birthday in a couple of months and doing a driving weekend away.

I'm not really into supercars. Yes for an experience on a track somewhere but to own no way. Personally I've always been into hot hatches and I have always said a Escort Cosworth is my favourite car probably always will be. The spoiler is so ridiculous for an escort that it forces me to stay in love with it

I don't know??

I've owned dozens of cars. Coolest was a Ferrari sommit (you hear every little pebble 'plink' in the wheel wells)...worst was either the Lotus (barnyard engineering) or the DeLorean (fecking awful car....heavy as feck and steering as numbing as a kiss on the mouth from your auntie).....John DeLorean should have gone to jail just for that, not all the narcotic trafficking he did. I'd buy them & then sell them, usually within a week or two.....just make enough cash on each one to move up a notch or two.....the Ferrari was just to help out a friend who was getting divorced and needed to hide it from his wife for a week. My ownership was just to switch the title.

Can't compare them to a bike though....you can't fall off a car.

There's a couple of cars in the LV museum I'd like to have a go in, and maybe an Ariel Atom, or an Aston??

Scratch that... I did try an Ariel (passenger at Big Willow)....the intake howl is awesome. And any car that requires a helmet frickin' rocks.

Nissan GTR, would be one in my garage. Epic performance with next to no effort. Got to drive one when I did my supercar experience.
