Omdz I'm at work and have tears in my eyes you could hear the mum holding back herself from crying through her speech. It could happen to anyone, one lapse of concentration poor family

I wouldn't call it a lapse of concentration, that rider was on the wrong side of the road for a long time and he was going round a bend. As a result it's cost him his life and he's taken the life of a 22 year old lad who IMO did nothing wrong.

It is heartbreaking.

I think it could be said that he really did "crash & burn" as a result of his conduct.
I recall being told about this crash when it happened last year, the footage gives it a lot more impact.

I do agree I'm unsure what he was thinking by making that move only he will ever know what went through his head at that moment. Very sad situation though

Sorry mate, but that was actually a different crash. Frank Robinson (he actually founded 5Ways) also got hit by another bike going in the opposite direction, but that was a Suzuki & it was carrying a pillion.

Just high on the IOM TT "enthusiasm" that seems to take hold of many who go there.?
That coupled with the fact that the German lad's default was to ride on the right.?
The closing speed will have been into triple figures. With that sort of impact to a dead stop, at least they probably didn't suffer long.
