Someone I know is a Liverpool fan. He got attacked by some locals as he was trying to get in the ground. It looks like they slashed his trousers to rob him. He's cut a couple of cuts and a small stream wound in his leg.

This world cup looks like it's going to be farce.

There's word going round that Qatar has pulled the plug on the sale of alcohol.

FIFA did a huge contract with Budweiser to get them there

England players were going to wear pride armbands for their first game. FIFA threatened them with a yellow card each if they did. England players backed down.

It's a fecking farce.

The threat of a yellow card for diving never puts them off.

The cynic in me says that's probably because people outside of China can often be seen to exhibit emotions...you know, things like "smiling" & "laughter"...stuff like that. :D
