He sounds switched on for a 21 year old!

I think he'll go to Yamaha but the decision is only around 60/40 in Yamaha's favour. I'm sure he doesn't want to burn bridges with Suzuki though which is possibly why it isn't as easy a decision to make

I'm not entirely sure he has done enough yet to warrant a top Factory ride. Once you take on those rides you have at best two years to prove yourself.

Thing is teams need to secure talent for the future. Also as Yamaha have found out to their peril having two No.1 riders is not a nice problem to have.

I guess so, Blade, but the timescale to prove you are worthy of that ride is very short and can kill a career just as quickly. Would have been good to see him develop a bit more first.
