Weekend plans

Post by Kwacky »

What's everyone up to?

Gym tonight then early to bed, I'm knackered.

Got a man delivering a custom made enclosure for one of my spiders tomorrow. Nothing else planned.

Sunday family day in between giving the SX a good wash and adjusting the chain.

Sounds like a good one...

This week has been hectic with taking my girlfriend to Cardiff for her birthday and this weekend will be no different - there's a house party at ours Saturday night to celebrate.

Tonight I'll be collecting my parcels and going to the gym - I might get to fit the brake discs tonight too!

Saturday I am playing football and sunday is likely to be resting and working on the bike ready for Silverstone on Thursday.

Got a vip package at Man City Tomorrow for me and my lad.

Starts by being chauffeur driven to the ground then a tour of training ground, tour of the stadium, breakfast, meet n greet players, press conference, photo shoot with mascots and then watch the game from VIP box with free bar and refreshments.

Both me and my lad are mega excited and will be an awesome father son day to remember (y)

Saturday's lunch party was enlightening.
At Dad's 70th around 50x of his friends all came up to Yorkshire, and he had a large marquis on the garden. His friends are of a similar age to him, and many were still CEOs or Senior Partners etc. Despite having grown up knowing them I'll admit to having been somewhat overwhelmed at times.
This was his 80th
He no longer has a house with grounds where you can just "put the marque over there".
His welcome speech no longer held the audience spellbound
Less than 30x of those friends were fit to join him (or alive even), and whilst being sound enough to be present, the searing intellect that so prevailed just ten years ago was all but gone.
Don't get me wrong, this was not like a nursing home outing. But the brilliant were not so sharp, and those who's minds are still disconcertingly intuitive are being physically frustrated by their failing bodies.
Much wine & champagne was drunk & toats toasted. The final revellers withdrew to their hotel rooms at around 3am. The consensus of all was that it was a resounding success,

I am feeling,, thoughtful.
