I loved him in "The Two Ronnies", but he made me scream with frustration in "Sorry", which I guess was the point, he wasn't afraid to be laughed at either, as anyone that remembers him in the video to the Comic Relief song "Is this the way to Amarillo"

They were a perfect comedy pairing. The intelligence of them both really shines through in most of their work.
