Final session of sonic shock therapy on my planter facilitis, very impressed.

Non-intrusive, almost painless, and I was able to walk about 8-9 miles on Saturday and was relatively pain free. 3 weeks ago I could barely walk 2-3 miles without being in serious pain.

That sounds an excellent result mate.
Is that therapy a single course application ( to put your body on the road to recovery) , or a periodic therapy that you'll return to if or when the effects wear off.?

It can be either.

The hope is that this is all that is needed, and making sure I ease myself back into exercise it should fully recover by itself.

She's got an operation booked for this Friday. The surgeon isn't sure if he's going to repair the knee cartilage or simply remove it, he'll know once he's in and can see the extent of the damage. If it's removed she'll be back on her feet within a couple of days. If there's a repair then she'll be off work for about 6 weeks.

I've had a bad throat and chest for a few days. It feels like a milder version of the Rona I had over Christmas. I was coughing my guts up last night. Both of the tests I've done have been negative.

Covid is rampant everywhere again. Suspect I had it last week albeit relatively mildly.

Took the afternoon off. I've got no work to do. There's a team meeting tomorrow so I'm going to raise the issue.

I've spent the afternoon starting to set up a fish tank in the office. I've not kept fish for about 20 years so I'm trying to get myself up to speed.

It's become an expensive hobby, I know that much.

he is ok , in the hospital , I've had a text from him and spoken with his Dad .
I'm not sure about me at the moment , I'll get over it no doubt but I feel awful right now .

Just take your time, breathe deep and remember that you were simply trying to be a friend and help. You did more to try than others did so this isn't on you. Not at all.

Take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you post something on the forum tomorrow. I've got to get some sleep before another long say tomorrow but rest up and go easy on yourself.

Crap head space to be in Jack, but you didn’t push anyone. That is their decision alone.

Sorry you are going through this mate, but hopefully for your friend, it’s brought it all to a head they will get the necessary support and guidance to move into a better space.

If I may, your friend was already in that place. Unless they themselves can see and believe there's a way out besides a suicide attempt there is very little you could say or do that would stop them. Your actions didn't push them into it, they were already going to do it. Thankfully they live to tell the tale.

I understand why you're giving yourself a hard time about it but you cared enough to try and that's courageous.. most people shy away but you tackled it to the best of your untrained ability.
