Good work everybody (facepalm)

Boxercise. I ended up sparring with the instructor. First time in a few years I've felt close to throwing up during exercise.

Shifting balance of power in the world. A lot of possible outcomes, but none that look positive for the UK..

Little trot round shinfield this morning. Seemed to go quite well as I knocked 3 mins off my previous PB.

Legs and arms. I did the leg part in the wrong order. Trying to do leg press after 7 other leg exercises is not advisable.

I guess I was more productive in April than I was in March...

I'm sure I'm making progress, it's hard to say though with my body fat levels being higher than I care to admit!

Boxercise was cancelled. I started doing some weights but neither my mind nor my heart was in it.

Had problems with my heart rate monitor, but managed to get it working again tonight.

Never actually worn the HRM when chilled out and sitting down, my resting heart rate tonight is about 58bpm.

Went to look at this place last night

http://www.gym-talk.com/ironworks-birmi ... ym-review/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's full of body builders and fitness models (both sexes)

Are you sure this is the place for you ? (giggle)
There’s no hairdrying stations or Molten Brown handwash, so if you’re used to fannying about in the saunas after a workout for 2 hours with your mates while instagramming pictures of your pathetic gains – this probably isn’t the gym for you.

But if you’re used to not **** around and getting shit done with some heavy ass weights, you’ll be right at home at Ironworks.
Loving the no nonsense approach...

The owners are really down to earth. I think I prefer my cash going to a family run gym than a big corporation. I might try it for a month and see how I get on.

Worth a go, looks well equipped and sounds like the right sort of people go there.

You never know, get to know a few people and you might end up with free training.

The Kwacky Klan have just been to our first kicking boxing class. I enjoyed but I'm not sure if the kids were keen enough to want to go back.

Due to the lack of time overall but still making an effort to go to the gym I've been doing triple-sets...

Chest, Shoulders and Back in the same set. 5 sets of 6-8 reps on each exercise and my heart rate is up to nearly 190bpm so it's a good calorie burner too!

With my MCL/LCL being damaged I'm unable to do any cardio or leg weight training which is gutting

Starting next month. Given the amount of time passed since the last time i visited a gym and the size of my belly, i have feeling i will die the next day after my first training session :D
