I must say it was the best looking carbon fibre I have seen

Hmmm, not keen myself. Too much for my liking.

Way too much. Maybe give it a paint job and have a little bit of carbon showing through as unpainted areas.

I'd put up with it if someone gave it to me.

I would hate to be the bigger who smashes that up!!

Carbon weave can look really good.
However with that gloss black & bright red as contrasts the whole scheme just ends up looking tacky IMHO.
